NEW DELHI: To alleviate the messed-up services of the IndiGo airlines in the previous days, the Indian Railway announced special trains on Saturday. Special train services will operate today and tomorrow. Special trains will serve on the long-distance routes. The Railway is planning to arrange 30 special trains. 116 additional coaches were also deployed in 37 trains. Services will be provided from December 5 to 13.

Meantime, IndiGo warned that domestic and international flight services in the country will be disrupted today. More than a thousand flights from various airports in the country were cancelled yesterday alone. Thousands of passengers are reportedly stranded.

The Civil Aviation Ministry initiated efforts to resolve the crisis by relaxing flight duty time regulations. Following the central government's warning of strict action against those responsible, the Civil Aviation Ministry started an investigation into the crisis. A four-member committee will summon IndiGo officials. The report will be submitted on the 15th of this month.

IndiGo flights from airports in Kerala are also delayed. IndiGo has advised passengers to take precautions in view of the changed schedule. Passengers have been advised to check the status of their service information via the www.cial.aero link or mobile app.
