Couple had a narrow escape after finding cobra in Amazon parcel

BENGALURU: A live cobra was found inside a parcel received from Amazon, the leading online platform. The big cobra was spotted in the parcel received by the couple in Bengaluru.

The engineer couple ordered an Xbox controller and got the item on the same day itself. They captured the visuals of opening the box on the mobile camera. They saw the cobra while opening the cover. The couple said that while trying to get out, the snake got stuck in the packing tape and so they escaped without being bitten. They immediately informed the company authorities. The video was also handed over as evidence. The company refunded the full amount to the couple. The snake captured was released in a safe place.

In a shocking incident, a family on Sarjapur Road received a live Spectacled Cobra with their Amazon order for an Xbox controller.

The couple said that although they informed about the discovery of the snake, no significant action was taken in this regard. The duo alleged that the snake got inside the parcel due to the irresponsible behavior of the company. The serious security lapse is in no way justifiable, they said.

The couple said they have not yet received compensation or an official apology from the company's side, although the company officials said they will investigate the incident and inform about further action.
