'Cowardly act from anti-national forces'; Central govt declares Red Fort blast terrorist attack

NEW DELHI: The central government of India confirmed the Red Fort blast as a terrorist attack. The Union Cabinet expressed its condolences over the incident. In a meeting held at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence, tributes were paid to the victims, and a two-minute silence was observed. The Central Government reiterated their stance of no tolerance for terrorism in any form.

The government gave urgent instructions to the Central agencies to bring the culprits to justice. The Cabinet meeting condemned the heinous act committed by anti-national forces. The government also assessed that the violence was irrational and cowardly.

The Central government expressed gratitude towards other countries for extending support at this hour of grief and concern. The Central Government directed that a strong and speedy investigation be conducted to find those behind the attack and those involved in the conspiracy. The investigating agencies have been instructed to nab the sponsors of terrorism and eradicate the sleeper cells. The government also said that the situation is being closely monitored at the highest level.
