Education Minister announces NEET exam to be made online from 2027
NEW DELHI: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has announced that the NEET UG exam will be made online from 2027. He announced the important decision to convert the paper-based exam to a computer-based exam in a press meet convened.
Dharmendra Pradhan said that there was a question paper irregularity in the NEET exam conducted on May 3 and the government is taking responsibility. He added that the government is committed to fighting the exam mafia. More than 22 lakh students from across the country are attending the re-exam. The education minister said that strict security and transparency will be ensured for the re-exam.
Dharmendra Pradhan said that the CBI will conduct a detailed investigation to find out the violation in the exam network and has directed the agencies to find the root cause of the problem. He warned that strict action will be taken against those involved in the irregularities and that any attempt to weaken the exam system will face serious consequences.
