Film-style drama: Youth and minor girl arrested after climbing on police jeep

JAIPUR: A young man and a minor girl were arrested by the police after they created chaos by climbing onto a police jeep while trying to elope. The incident took place on September 19 in Rampura, Kota. The dramatic incident unfolded when police attempted to take them into custody. According to police, the 22-year-old youth was under the influence of alcohol at the time. Both had been reported missing by their families.

When police tried to detain them, the couple resisted in a dramatic, film-style manner. The youth first climbed onto the police jeep, followed by the 17-year-old girl. As a crowd gathered, many bystanders recorded the scene and shared it on social media.

For nearly ten minutes, the two shouted slogans and created a commotion on top of the jeep, obstructing police and passersby. Traffic in the area was disrupted until police finally subdued them by force and took them to the station.

The youth has been charged with creating a public disturbance and abducting a minor girl. Videos of the incident have since gone viral, sparking debate on social media. Many users commented that such behaviour poses a serious risk to public safety.
