Fleet of spy balloons is reportedly ready; China's next target India?

NEW DELHI: Shocking new report has come out amid a war of words between China and the United States over the shooting of a spy balloon at the behest of President Joe Biden. An American media reported that China has started operating a group of spy balloons targeting India and other countries. The embassies of 40 countries including India were warned by Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R Sherman.

China had expressed strong displeasure and protest over the US shooting down of a Chinese balloon that caused concern in its airspace. China has warned that they will retaliate and to expect a befitting reply. Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Tan Kefei said that the US military used the military to attack its civilian balloon and that the US made a harsh decision.

Meanwhile, the US rejected China's claim that the balloon was for weather observation and had strayed to the United States. A top official had informed that it was a surveillance balloon and was deliberately flown over the US and Canada to monitor military installations. He also stated that another Chinese balloon that appeared in Latin America the other day was equipped with surveillance equipment.
