Four-year-old girl raped after luring with chocolates

KANPUR: A four-year-old girl was raped and then injured her head with a brick in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur. The incident happened at Ghatampur in Kanpur Nagar. Her neighbour called the girl, who was going to a nearby shop lured her with a chocolate and then took her to the bushes behind the shop and raped her.

She screamed when she realized that he was misbehaving. When she continued screaming, the accused stuffed leaves in her mouth and hit the girl several times with a brick lying nearby. The accused then fled, leaving the girl in a pool of blood. When her daughter, who had gone to the shop, was not to be seen, her mother went in search of her. When she asked the shop owner, she was informed that she had not reached there.

In a search conducted by the locals, she was found in the bushes nearby with serious injuries. Blood was oozing from her head. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. Since her injuries were serious, she was shifted to the Kanpur District Hospital. Her father alleged that the accused' previous enmity with his family was the reason for the crime. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
