Four-year-old girl sleeping next to grandma kidnapped, raped and abandoned

KOLKATA: A four-year-old girl, who was sleeping next to her grandma, was kidnapped, raped and abandoned in a drain. The condition of the girl is serious and has been admitted in the hospital. The incident happened in Kolkata’s Hooghly Tarakeshwar. The girl was sexually abused brutally by a strange man after abducting her through the mosquito net and later abandoned her in the drain.

After an intensive search, the girl was found naked in a pool of blood near the Tarakeshwar railway drain. The family then went to the police station with the child, but they refused to register a case and failed in ensuring medical aid to the child.
