Infrastructure development, defense, small industries, the electric vehicle manufacturing sector, and green energy will be given priority. The industry sector has called for the simplification of GST procedures and the creation of schemes to enhance e-commerce growth. Additionally, railway initiatives will be announced. More popular schemes targeting the middle class are also expected to be introduced.
Kerala, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Assam are currently in high hopes as assembly elections are about to be held. High-speed rail, increased funding, and AIIMS are vital for Kerala.
To overcome the crisis
The budget will include sufficient announcements to tackle the challenges posed by the additional tariffs imposed by the US on the Indian economy. Measures will be implemented to support key sectors such as textiles, leather, and toys. Additionally, priority will be given to AI and digital development. There are indications that the 18% GST on AI skill development may be waived.
