NEW DELHI: The Department of Telecommunications has issued an order banning 63 websites with pornographic content. In the past, the central government has similarly banned sites with sexual content.
Based on the new IT laws and court rulings of 2021, the country is implementing a phased ban on pornographic sites. According to this, the internet service providers were asked to block the sites.
The details of the latest order have been published on the website of the Department of Telecommunication. Such banned sites will no longer be accessible through any digital device in India.
