NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a scathing attack on Congress for their egregious equivalence of Bihar with Beedi. The now-deleted post by the social media wing of the Congress Kerala unit was made as a weapon in Bihar by the Prime Minister. PM Modi was speaking after launching projects worth Rs 40,000 crore in Purnia, Bihar.

PM MODI IN BIHAR:

“Those who have exploited Bihar for decades are now disturbed by the rapid development of the state. Opposition parties are insulting the progress of Bihar. Congress leaders have said that Bihar and beedi start with the same letter. Those with such a mentality can never work for the welfare of Bihar. The people of Bihar must answer this insult to the Congress and its allies.

Those who are focused on filling their own coffers cannot provide houses to the poor. Earlier, out of every rupee sent by the central government, Rs 0.85 was lost through corruption. Did the poor ever receive money when the opposition was in power?

Adding more damage, the opposition is encouraging illegal infiltration, which is a threat to Bihar's identity. There is a serious population crisis in Seemanchal and eastern India. The opposition alliance, which protects infiltrators for vote bank politics, will endanger the resources and security of Bihar and the country.”
