Govt bus falls 10-feet deep in Valparai, 14 in critical condition

CHENNAI: A Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) government bus lost control and fell into 10-foot-deep gorge at Valparai in Tamil Nadu, injuring 27 people. Of these, 14 are in critical condition. The accident happened at 3 am on Sunday. The bus was coming from Tiruppur to Valparai when it overturned. There were 72 people on the bus.

The injured have been shifted to the government hospital in Pollachi. The bus lost control at a hairpin bend. The fire force and police, who reached the spot, were engaged in the rescue operations.
