Heartbreaking video of youth carrying body of son killed in Karur

CHENNAI: The rally held by TVK chief and actor Vijay ended in a tragedy on Saturday. Forty-one people, including children and women, died in the stampede. The screams from Karur Medical College Hospital will break anyone's heart.

The video of a grieving father carrying the body of his son, who died in the tragedy is heartbreaking. The video has gone viral on social media. The dead is two-year-old Dhruv Vishnu. Vimal, the child’s father is holding the body of his lifeless son and crying.

Dhruv's house is fifty meters away from the venue of the event in Karur. The family had taken the child to see Vijay. The child was with her aunt. When the stampede broke out, the family ran in different directions. Only when they reached home, they realized that the child was not with them. Then they came in search of the child. In the meantime, the father saw the child lying dead from the visuals in channels. Vimal and Mateshwari got married four years ago. The couple was blessed with Dhruv after a wait of two years.

Meantime, Rahul Gandhi MP spoke to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin over the phone. He inquired about the situation and paid tributes to the dead. He also spoke to Vijay on phone.
