NEW DELHI: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh revealed that India voluntarily suspended Operation Sindoor. The military operation against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism was suspended on India's instructions, and the country is fully prepared for a protracted war if necessary. Rajnath Singh was speaking while addressing the National Security Summit, ANI reported.
“Operation Sindoor was not terminated because our capabilities were depleted. It was voluntarily terminated on our own terms. India was fully prepared to fight a long war if necessary. We have the capacity to develop capabilities in case of sudden needs. We can operate more powerfully than ever before.
India's military power emerged as a joint, integrated and global force. The Army, Navy and Air Force have demonstrated this by working together under a plan. We have once again proven that our military-industrial complex is ready not only for peacetime needs but also for wartime needs. Even when there was a threat of nuclear attack, India did not succumb.
We have seen countries like Pakistan constantly supporting terrorism. India and Pakistan gained independence at the same time. Today, India is a world leader in information technology, while Pakistan is a world leader in international terrorism," Rajnath Singh criticised.
