
NEW DELHI: IndiGo flight 6E 2608 from Delhi to Pune received a bomb threat yesterday. The plane, which was supposed to arrive in Pune at 8.40 pm last night, landed only at 9.27 pm. It was parked in Bay No 3. Officials said the threat message was received as soon as the plane landed, but nothing suspicious was found during an inspection.
As soon as the bomb threat message was received, the air traffic control informed the apron control. Apron control immediately informed all the agencies concerned. The plane was then shifted from Bay No 3 to the isolation bay. A complete inspection was conducted by many including bomb threat assessment committee. However, nothing suspicious was found, said the officials.
After the inspections, the plane was released for normal operations. All passengers and crew are safe and we are committed to the safety of customers and employees, according to a statement issued by IndiGo.
