IS terrorist arrested in Delhi also reached Kerala; Practised detonation, stayed in forest

NEW DELHI: It is reported that IS terrorist Mohammad Shanawaz, who was arrested by the police in Delhi, had also arrived in Kerala. Officials of the special cell said that he stayed in the forest areas after reaching the state and took pictures with the IS flag. It is also reported that he found deserted places and practised detonation using cookers, gas cylinders and IEDs.

The IS terrorist whom NIA put a price of Rs 3 lakh on his head is in custody today. He has been arrested in connection with the Pune IS case. The NIA has announced that they will give Rs 3 lakh to those who help find him. It is reported that he had planned to carry out blasts at various places in North India.

Shanawaz is on the most wanted list of NIA. He was arrested by the police while he was hiding in Delhi. He was arrested by the police in July in a car theft case. But later escaped from custody. The IS connection was revealed when two of his accomplices were arrested during the subsequent investigation. Later, the NIA took over the case and announced a reward of Rs 3 lakh to those who help to find him.
