Malayali dancer Gauri Nanda killed in tragic car accident near Chidambaram, eight others injured

CHENNAI: A Malayali dancer was killed in a tragic car accident on the Cuddalore Ammapettai bypass in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu. Gauri Nanda (20), a native of Ernakulam, was killed in the accident. The car met with an accident on Saturday evening while heading to Puducherry. The car fell into a ditch on the roadside near the bypass. Gauri was along with eight of her friends.

Eight people, including Thrissur natives Freddy (29), Abhirami (20), Vaishal (27) and Ernakulam natives Sukila (20) and Anamika (20), were injured. One of them is in critical condition. The injured are being treated at the Cuddalore District Hospital. The police registered a case and started an investigation.

Gauri was rushed to the hospital after the accident, but she died while undergoing treatment.
