
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed to bring those who conspired behind the Red Fort blast to justice. PM Modi visited the LNJP Hospital and met the injured in the blast. The Prime Minister, who landed at the Delhi airport this afternoon after visiting Bhutan, went straight to the hospital. He wished the injured a speedy recovery. The doctors and hospital authorities informed the Prime Minister about the patients’ health updates.
The Prime Minister said that the government is taking the attack very seriously and that the conspirators will not be spared. His response was at a public event in Bhutan.
Meanwhile, a 10-member team led by NIA Additional Director General Vijay Sakhare is investigating the Red Fort blast. The NIA has taken over the investigation from the police. Apart from Vijay Sakhare, the team includes an IG, two DIGs, three SPs and a DSP.
The investigation team found that Dr Umar Nabi, who carried out the car bomb blast near the Red Fort, is the head of the white-collar terrorist group. The group's links with the terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed have also been revealed. The investigation team collected more footage from the time of the blast. As soon as the blast took place, the camera on the signal became inoperative.
It was revealed that Dr Umar Nabi had reached Delhi just before the blast. The car used for the blast is present in various footage received from different parts of the city during these days. The white-collar terrorist group had planned a major attack in Faridabad and Delhi. The terrorists have received 3200 kg of explosives. The police have so far found 2,900 kg of explosives.
