'Mother Ganga' enters house; UP cop offers milk and flowers to floodwater and swims in it | VIDEO

UTTAR PRADESH: A video of a police officer worshipping the Ganga River after his house was flooded has been going viral on social media for the past few days. The incident took place in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Low-lying areas were under water due to continuous rains across North India. Sub-Inspector Chandradeep Nishad of Prayagraj is seen offering flowers and milk to the flood water in the video.

The ground floor of the house is seen flooded. The policeman is first seen in the video taking off his shoes and adjusting his pants. He then puts flowers and pours milk in the water and prays while chanting mantras. He says in the video that Ganga Mata has come to bless the people in the house.
