No airconditioning or drinking water; passengers sweating inside flight at 40-degree temperature; serious allegation against Air India Express

NEW DELHI: Passengers have filed a serious complaint against an Air India Express flight. The passengers have alleged that there was a technical glitch in the Air India IX 196 flight that departed from Dubai to Jaipur International Airport in Rajasthan. The passengers have complained that they had to sit in a non-air-conditioned plane for five hours amid the scorching heat in Dubai. The incident in question took place on June 13.

The flight took off from Dubai five hours late due to technical glitches. Passengers have already shared images and videos from inside the plane on social media. Pictures and videos show the elderly and children struggling due to the extreme heat. Passengers have stated in social media posts that the temperature outside was 40 degrees Celsius at that time. The plane, which was supposed to depart at 7.25 pm that day, took off at 12.45 am the next morning after the glitches were fixed. There are also complaints that not even drinking water was supplied inside the plane. Air India has not yet responded to the issue.

There were also reports that an Air India flight was stopped on the runway just before takeoff yesterday. The incident took place at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata. The Air India flight, which was bound for Hindon Airport in Uttar Pradesh, was stopped before takeoff. The flight was stopped after a technical fault was detected. Air India officials had announced that a replacement plane would be prepared for the passengers. Air India Express flight IX 1511 was grounded on the runway due to a technical snag. The cause of the technical snag is not clear. Air India Express officials have expressed their regret to the passengers.
