Oh sh***: Last words from Learjet 45 XR cockpit before Baramati tragedy

NEW DELHI: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) found out the last word uttered from the cockpit of the plane carrying Ajit Pawar before its tragic crash. The word ‘Oh Shit’ from the cockpit is said to be the last human voice that emanated from the flight before it nosedived in Baramati, killing all five on board. The information came to light while the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau were continuing their investigation. Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit, pilot Sumit Kapoor and co-pilot Sambhavi Pathak, who were in the cockpit, and 5 others died instantly.

The investigation team is collecting information from the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder recovered from the area. Pune police have also intensified the investigation. The Learjet 45 XR private charter plane exploded with a loud bang and caught fire near runway 11 of the Baramati airstrip at 08.44 am on Wednesday. The crash occurred during the second attempt at landing due to poor visibility. Although the leaders of the 'India' alliance alleged mystery in the accident, NCP leader Sharad Pawar dismissed all the allegations.

Union Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis promising a transparent, thorough and speedy investigation. Meanwhile, CCTV footage of the accident surfaced on Thursday.
