NEW DELHI: Colonel Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh stated that the Indian armed forces have given a fitting response to Pakistan, which attempted to attack Indian military installations. The two were speaking at a press conference convened by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, where they explained India’s counterattack in detail.
They emphasised that the attack by Pakistan at the border was unprovoked and that missiles were used in the assault. They informed the media that India had successfully neutralised Pakistan's attempt.
"On the early morning of May 8, Pakistan attempted an attack targeting 15 locations using drones and missiles. These were destroyed using the air defence system. Debris is currently being collected as evidence of Pakistan’s aggression. This morning, India retaliated by striking Pakistan’s air defence radars and systems. It has been confirmed that the air defence system in Lahore has been rendered inactive in the attack. Pakistan has been given a response of equal intensity," they stated at the press conference.
