NEW DELHI: Pakistan's national flags and products will no longer be sold on online marketplaces like Amazon and Flipkart. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi announced the ban through an X account. The minister said that the Central Consumer Protection Authority has sent notices to e-commerce platforms in India, including Amazon India, Flipkart, Ubuy India, Etsy, The Flag Company, and The Flag Corporation, regarding the sale of Pakistani national flags and products. He also noted that the ministry has directed them to withdraw such products immediately. The Union Minister said that all products related to Pakistan should be removed immediately and the country's national laws should be followed.

The move comes after CAIT (Confederation of All India Traders) wrote to Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Prahlad Joshi, demanding a ban on the sale of Pakistani flags and other products on e-commerce platforms operating in India.

Pakistani flags, logo-emblazoned mugs and T-shirts were found being sold openly. This was mentioned in a letter written by BC Bhartiya, national president of CAIT's Confederation of All India Traders, to Minister Goyal. The letter also mentions that such actions by e-commerce platforms hurt the dignity of India's armed forces, are a violation of India's sovereignty, and disrespect to the sentiments of patriotic Indian citizens.
