JAIPUR: The shock of the killing of 26 innocent people in the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir has not left the Indians. After it was realized that Pakistani terrorists were behind the terror attack, India has given a strong response through Operation Sindoor. Yet, hostility towards Pakistan is clearly visible in various parts of the country. One such incident has now been reported from Jaipur.
The news came to light on social media. The pictures from a shop called Tyohaar Sweets, which sells premium sweets in Rajasthan, are now going viral on social media. Some changes have been made to the names of some of the sweets here. For example, the word 'Pak' has been removed from the name of sweets like Mysore Pak and replaced with Mysore Sree. Traditionally, the word 'Pak' meant sweet in Kannada.
Anjali Jain, the manager of Tyohaar Sweets, responded to a national media outlet. "Love for the country does not only exist at the borders, but also in the minds of every citizen. That is why we have replaced the word 'Pak' from the sweets we sell and added another word that feels more homely. We have renamed 'Moti Pak' as 'Moti Shree', 'Gond Pak' as 'Gond Shree', 'Mysore Pak' as 'Mysore Shree'
"The names of the most purchased sweets, Swarn Bhasm Pak and Chandi Bhasm Pak, have been changed to Swarn Shree and Chandi Shree. Bikaneri Moti Pak is now Bikaneri Moti Shree. The customers who came to buy the products at the shop have also given their suggestions in this regard,' she told the media. There are also reports that many shops in Rajasthan are taking the same stand.
