Police register case against businessman who abused techie on pretext of financial help

BENGALURU: The police have registered a case against a businessman from Tamil Nadu who allegedly raped a young woman working in the film industry as a technician. The investigation has been intensified for him who entered Tamil Nadu. The complainant, a 35-year-old software engineer, lodged a complaint with the Cubbon Park police. The businessman and the woman were acquaintances.

The complaint is that she was called to a five-star hotel on the pretext of business and abused. The incident in question was on August 6. The complaint was filed on August 10. Apart from working in the film industry, the young woman was preparing to make her own software.

It is reported that the young woman approached the businessman for financial help for this. According to the complaint, the businessman, who took advantage of the situation, sexually abused her. Bengaluru's Cubbon Park police has formed a special investigation team to nab the businessman.
