Rape case to add to 'Kamasutra sex position' controversy; new lawsuit registered against Ajaz Khan 

MUMBAI: A new complaint has been filed against actor Ajaz Khan after a case was registered against him for presenting obscene content on a reality show. A woman has filed a complaint against Ajaz Khan, alleging that he raped her by promising her a role in the reality show House Arrest and a marriage promise. Charkop police have registered a rape case against Ajaz Khan based on the woman's complaint. Further investigation into the complaint is underway.

The woman has alleged in her complaint that Ajaz Khan called her with the offer of a role as a host on the reality show. It is alleged that Ajaz first proposed to the woman on the set and then went to her house and raped her.

Ajaz Khan had asked the contestants to imitate various sex positions from the Kama Sutra during the show House Arrest, which had led to widespread protests the other day. With this, a Bajrang Dal activist filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police against Ajaz Khan and the show. The police subsequently registered a case against Ajaz Khan and the producer of the reality show, Raj Kumar Pandey. They have been charged with indecent depiction of women and behaving in an indecent manner in a public place. Following the controversy, the National Commission for Women has summoned Ajaz Khan and Vidya Agarwal, CEO of the ‘Ullu’ streaming platform that broadcasts the show. They have been asked to appear before the commission by May 9.

A video clip of Ajaz Khan encouraging female contestants to act out sex positions had sparked widespread outrage on social media. Following the video controversy, episodes of the reality show have been removed from adult streaming platform Ullu. It started airing on the 11th of last month.
