Released on bail in sexual abuse case; accused hangs himself at home

LUCKNOW: A 32-year-old man who was out on bail after being arrested in a sexual abuse case involving his sister-in-law was found dead by hanging. The incident took place in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh. The deceased, identified as Shivam, a resident of Humayunpur in the Firozabad South area, was found dead at his home on Saturday night. No one else was present in the house at the time of the incident.

He had been granted bail by the court on June 17 in connection with the molestation case. Family members said the accused was under severe mental stress after returning home on bail. He was originally from Akbarpur in Kanpur district. The body has been sent to the mortuary for post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation.
