Setback for BJP in Delhi municipal elections; exit polls predict big win for Aam Admi Party

NEW DELHI: Although the exit poll results of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections predicted victory for BJP, Delhi Municipal election survey has become a setback to the party. Exit polls predict that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will win the Delhi municipal elections. Currently BJP is ruling here. According to the India Today- Axis My India exit poll, the BJP will win between 69 and 91 seats, while the AAP will secure between 149 and 171 seats.

Times Now and Aaj Tak have also predicted in favor of AAP. According to Aaj Tak results, Aam Aadmi Party will win 149 to 171 seats out of total 250 wards. Times Now predicts that the AAP will win 146 to 156 wards. Aaj Tak predicts 69-91 and Times Now predicts 84-94 seats for BJP. In 2017, BJP got 182 seats. All three surveys do not predict a gain for the Congress.
