PATNA: A seven-year-old student was found murdered in Vaishali district in Bihar. The child was discovered with his throat slit inside a room of a private hostel. The incident happened on Sunday morning.
The child’s body showed multiple injuries, including a deep cut on the neck. He had been living in the hostel for the last five months. When people entered the room, they found him lying dead on the bed. Marks of injuries were also visible on his legs. Relatives claimed that the hostel staff had beaten him on earlier occasions. The boy’s uncle accused the hostel management of negligence, saying it led to the murder. Local residents staged a protest and damaged parts of the hostel building.
A forensic team reached the spot, and the investigation is focusing on the CCTV cameras in the hostel, said SDPO (Sadar) Gopal Mandal. The child’s body has been sent for a post-mortem. Police have taken the hostel warden and four others into custody.
