Son hacks 55-year-old mother to death for not serving tasty food

THANE: A son killed his 55-year-old mother for not serving him tasty food. The incident happened at Thane in Maharashtra. The incident happened at Velu village in Murbad taluka.

There were frequent fights between the two over domestic issues. As usual, a fight broke out the other day. The FIR said the accused had complained of not serving tasty food. In a fit of rage, he attacked his mother with a sickle on her neck following which she collapsed and died. On being informed by the neighbours, the police reached the spot and shifted the body to the government hospital nearby.

The accused after the crime tried to commit suicide by taking overdose of sleeping pills. His relatives immediately rushed him to the hospital. So, the police have not arrested him so far. A case was registered against the accused under Indian Penal Code section 302 (murder).
