THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has been personally invited by Devaswom Minister V.N. Vasavan to participate in the Global Ayyappa Sangam. The Ayyappa Sangam will be held on the banks of the Pampa on September 20 as part of the Devaswom Board's platinum jubilee celebrations. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the Sangam. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin has been invited as the chief guest.
Officials from Kerala and Tamil Nadu attended the meeting with Stalin. Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department Minister P. K. Sekhar Babu, Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam, Additional Chief Secretary of Tourism, Culture and Endowments Department Dr. K. Manivasan, Devaswom Secretary from Kerala M. G. Rajamanikyam, Travancore Devaswom Board Commissioner B. Sunil Kumar also attended the meeting.
The Travancore Devaswom Board is envisioning the Global Ayyappa Sangam as the biggest devotee gathering to be organized in South India. The Ayyappa Sangam is being held in Pampa as part of the 75th anniversary of the Devaswom Board, with Ayyappa devotees from all over the world participating. Ministers from Karnataka and Telangana, Union ministers from Kerala, and the opposition leader will participate in the gathering. The objectives of the gathering are to spread the message of Tatvamasi worldwide and to present Sabarimala to the world as a global pilgrimage centre. The first-ever Global Ayyappa Sangam to be held in Kerala will bring Ayyappa devotees from all over the world and various states of India on one platform. 3000 delegates are expected to participate in the gathering.
