NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has shared a picture following the controversy sparked in the Congress party in Kerala after Shashi Tharoor MP's article. Rahul Gandhi shared a picture of Congress leaders from Kerala standing together.

Rahul shared the picture with the caption 'They stand as one, united by the light of purpose ahead. Team Kerala'. Shashi Tharoor is also in the picture.

The controversy started with Tharoor's article praising the industrial development in Kerala. Tharoor's article 'Changing Kerala: Lumbering Jumbo to a Lithe Tiger', which pointed out the growth in the startup sector and Kerala's ranking as the first in the business-friendliness rankings, led to the controversy. Tharoor's article stated that Kerala is standing as a unique model in the country in entrepreneurial progress and sustainable growth and that it is surprising that the government led by the Communist Party-led Front is creating these achievements. Subsequently, Congress leaders including VD Satheesan came out to criticize Tharoor. State leaders also filed a complaint against Tharoor with the high command.

Tharoor later held a meeting with the Congress high command. The meeting was held at Sonia Gandhi's residence at No. 10 Janpath. Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and KC Venugopal were also present at the meeting. After the meeting, Shashi Tharoor along with Rahul met Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.
