BENGALURU: A severe crisis is being faced when search for Arjun, who went missing in the landslide at Shirur in Karnataka, has entered the eleventh day. Very strong undercurrents are continuing in the Gangavali River. The divers could not search in the river. As the water is muddy, the divers will not be able to see anything.

A search by the drone of Ibod team is going on. Efforts are also being made to get a clear image using a camera that can be operated under water. Two long boom excavators have also been used to remove the mud from the river bank.

A crucial meeting will be held later today on what to do next as the joint search by the navy, army and IBOD team has not made much progress. The meeting is convened by the representatives of the mission team and officials. The Uttara Kannada district administration has clarified that the mission is not feasible these days as heavy rains continue. Karnataka will inform the decision to the ministerial team from Kerala after the discussions of the mission team.

Parts of the tea shop were found during a search by the boom excavator. The area is witnessing heavy rain and wind since last night. Uttara Kannada district is on orange alert for three days from today.

IBod drone search continued till night. However, no human presence was noticed. The truck is about 60 meters away from the road and 20 feet deep in the river. The mission team said that four metal parts were found.
