PATNA: A twenty-year-old man was brutally killed by an unidentified person on the roadside in Nawada in Bihar. CCTV footage shows Rahul Kumar, a native of Shivnagar, being stabbed thirty times by an unknown person with a knife. Police said that a case has been registered in the incident and the reason for the murder is not clear.
Rahul settled in Varanasi and came to Nawada as part of the Chhath Puja celebrations. The attack was carried out after throwing chilli powder in the victim's eyes. Then the accused stabbed Rahul about 30 times.
Pedestrians and vehicles can be seen in the circulating video. After the murder, the accused fled the spot. Locals took Rahul to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw after the police or ambulance did not reach the spot on time.
The police told the media that they are checking other nearby CCTV footage to identify the suspect. Superintendent of Police Ajay Prasad informed that action will be taken if the suspect is identified. According to the locals, the accused is between 35 and 40 years old. Rahul's mother is a prison employee.
