Vijay meets families of Karur victims’, promises to meet all expenses 

CHENNAI: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhakam (TVK) chief and actor Vijay has promised to bore all expenses of the kin of victims, who lost their lives in the Karur tragedy. The actor is meeting the families of Karur victims at a private hotel in Mamallapuram. The kin of the victims were brought to the hotel and TVK chief Vijay promised to meet their expenses.

All expenses including their medical and educational will be borne by the party. Vijay is meeting them exactly a month after 41 people died in the tragedy on September 27. When the rally led by Vijay reached Karur from Namakkal, 41 including children and women had died in the stampede.

Vijay was criticized for not meeting the families of the victims and for not offering condolences to them. Vijay met the kin of the victims at a private hotel in Pooncheri near Mamallapuram.

Party workers had earlier made the necessary arrangements at this hotel. The families of the victims were brought by bus from Karur. All the families of the dead did not turn up. They informed the organizers their inconvenience to meet him.
