Vijay says victory is certain; BLA meeting of TVK off to a grand start in Coimbatore

COIMBATORE: 'The playground is ready. What more is needed, go and play. Stay confident, victory is sure...' Vijay's words left the TVK office bearers in a state of euphoria. Vijay, who is also the party president, was inaugurating the first regional booth-level committee office bearers' training camp of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam at SNS College, Coimbatore. "What will we do if we come to power? It will not be like we have done so far. We will govern for the people. Every booth agent should be a fighter," he said.

Vijay arrived at the Coimbatore airport in the morning and was enthusiastically welcomed by party workers and fans. From there, Vijay took a ten-kilometer road show to the venue. While Vijay was waving to everyone, a fan jumped from a tree onto the top of the caravan in which Vijay was travelling. Vijay calmed him down and put the party's shawl on him. When another fan climbed onto the top of the vehicle, Vijay went inside from the top of the caravan. The workshop will continue today.

Committee office bearers ready

Vijay is focusing on strengthening booth committees in all regions of Tamil Nadu to face the 2026 assembly elections. 35,000 booth committees have been formed across Tamil Nadu for this purpose. Two office bearers, one male and one female, in each booth. A total of 70,000 booth committee office bearers have been elected. The booth committee meeting will be held once the work of the booth committee is completed. The first regional meeting began in Coimbatore yesterday.
