PATNA: 15-year-old boy dies a tragic death after a fake doctor performed gallbladder surgery after watching a YouTube video. The shocking incident took place in Bihar's Saran. After the gallbladder stone was removed, the child's condition became critical and the fake doctor himself called an ambulance and sent the child to a hospital in Patna. Relatives alleged that when the child died on the way, the doctor and his aides left the body in the hospital and fled.
The incident took place at Ganapati Hospital in Saran. According to his parents, 15-year-old Krishna Kumar was rushed to the hospital after he vomited several times. Shortly after being admitted to the hospital, the vomiting subsided. However, Dr Ajit Puri said the child needed an operation. The boy's father, Chandan Shah, said the doctor performed the operation after watching a video on YouTube, following which his son died. The relatives also alleged that the doctor was a fake.
The boy's grandfather, Prahlad Prasad Shah, alleged that the boy had shown relief when he stopped vomiting and yet the surgery was performed without the consent of his parents after asking the father to leave.
The child was in great pain. When asked why the child was in pain, the doctor shouted. By evening, the child was out of breath. The breath was recovered by giving CPR. The child died while being taken to a hospital in Patna on the advice of a doctor. The grandfather said the doctor had left the body on the steps of the hospital and fled.
The police have registered an FIR in the incident and sent the child's body for post-mortem. The police said that a search has been launched for the fake doctor and other members of the hospital.
