BENGALURU: MLA A K M Ashraf said that the search mission for Kozhikode native Arjun, who went missing in a landslide in Shirur, Karnataka, is uncertain. He told the media that the district administration of North Karnataka has no plan B. Manjeswaram MLA opined that after the search by Ishwar Malpe, it is uncertain what to do next and the Chief Ministers of both the states should talk to each other and decide on plan B.
Ishwar Malpe went down to river twice today. Ishwar Malpe informed that the flow of the river has reduced slightly and the search is being conducted at two points.
Meanwhile, the Uttara Kannada district administration has informed that they will try their best for Arjun today. Karwar MLA Satish Sail said that everything possible has been done for the search. Dredging machinery cannot be transported by river and is ooking for alternative ways. The MLA said that even if the proclainer is delivered at present, it cannot be lowered into the river.
Ishwar Malpe told the media that Gangavali is a dangerous river and he is into such a mission for the first time. He said that he dives into the river at his own risk. The truck is yet to be seen. Will dive again today and try to find the truck. Ishwar Malpe said that so far they have found tin sheets, wood and electric wires.
