MUMBAI: Union Minister Suresh Gopi’s energetic enthusiasm was seen during the electioneering of BJP candidate Narendra Mehta contesting from Mira Bhayandar constituency in the Maharashtra elections. In his speech, Suresh Gopi said Maharashtra should be taken and the BJP government should come to power again. Leaders Uttam Kumar, Madhu Nair, Mohammed Siddiqui and others spoke at the programme organized under the aegis of the Kerala cell.
Suresh Gopi also spoke at the election campaign of BJP candidate Sneha Dubey from Vasa constituency. The polling for the Maharashtra assembly elections will be held on November 20.
The main fight is between the ruling Mahayuti party led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and the Maha Vikas Aghadi led by NCP's Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena's Uddhav Thackeray. The contest is being held in 288 assembly constituencies. The BJP presently has 102 seats in the assembly, NCP and Ajit Pawar's faction have 40 seats, the Shinde faction of the Shiv Sena has 38 seats and 24 seats are held by other parties. After weeks of enthusiastic campaigning, the state is in the final stretch today. The Maharashtra government has declared a public holiday on November 20 in connection with the elections.
