25-year-old stabbed to death over monetary dispute in Kochi

KOCHI: A 25-year-old youth was stabbed to death in Kalamassery. The dead is Vivek of Njarakkal. A dispute over financial transactions led to the murder. The police have taken one into custody in the incident. Two people had reached Vivek's house last evening. They left after discussing things related to financial transactions.

They came again at around 11 pm, called Vivek, went out of the house with him and spoke about financial dealings again. In the meantime, one of the them took a knife and stabbed him on his chest. They fled the spot after committing the crime. His parents hearing him screaming, came out and rushed him to Kalamassery Medical College. The youth, who was in a critical condition died early Thursday morning at around 1 am.
