THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Exit poll results predicted UDF's return to power in Kerala with a significant majority after a gap of ten years. None of the eight survey results favoured the Left Front. The prediction is that the BJP's NDA will outperform this time.

The exit polls predicted that UDF will get a minimum of 70 seats and a maximum of 90 seats. The LDF may get 49 to 69 seats.

While four surveys said the NDA may not win a single seat in Kerala, the Chanakya and Times Now surveys indicate the third front may win up to seven seats.

The UDF will get 33-37 seats in five districts, while the LDF will get only 11-15 seats. The UDF will dominate Malappuram and Kozhikode. The UDF will have the upper hand in the southern districts and the central region, including Ernakulam and Thrissur.

At the national level, the BJP is likely to come to power for the first time in West Bengal. The party may get 142 to 208 seats. Four major surveys have favoured the saffron party in West Bengal.
