Attender held for sexually abusing woman subjected to surgery in Kozhikode MCH

KOZHIKODE: The accused in the case of sexually abusing a woman subjected to surgery in Kozhikode Medical College Hospital has been taken into custody. He has been identified as Shasidharan of Mayyannur in Vadakara and an attender of the hospital. He was taken into custody by the medical college police.

The woman’s complaint said that she was sexually abused two days ago. The woman of Kozhikode was subjected to a thyroid surgery. She was abused when she was in a semi-conscious condition. She later disclosed the incident to her husband and filed a complaint.

Meantime, Health Minister Veena George had directed to investigate the incident and take action. The hospital had entrusted an investigation panel to probe the incident. The panel includes additional superintendent, RMO and nursing superintendent.
