Man stabs drug addict son in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: A youth sustained injuries after his son stabbed him in Moonalingil. The incident happened Sunday afternoon at 12.30 pm near the Moonalingil Junction. Yasin Arafath of Pallikandi sustained stab injuries. The police have taken the youth’s father Aboobacker Siddique and another son Muhammaj Jabir.

When questioned, Aboobacker Siddique told police that he stabbed his son, a drug addict, who constantly attacks him. Aboobacker had previously filed a complaint with the police against his son for constantly creating issues. It is reported that he stabbed his son while defending himself when he tried to attack him. Arafath was stabbed in the stomach. The injury is not serious. The youth has been shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
