KOCHI: The Forest Department has confirmed that the animal tooth that was on the necklace of rapper Vedan (Hirandas Murali) is tiger tooth itself. With this, the Forest Department has registered a case against Vedan. The case has been filed under non-bailable sections. The police recovered a billhook knife and a machete during the search conducted at Vedan's flat. The police have taken this into custody.

Seven grams of ganja were seized during a search conducted at Vedan's flat this morning. When the police arrived at the flat following a tip-off, nine people, including Vedan, were there. When asked by the media whether it was a police hunt, Vedan replied that it was not. Vedan was taken to the Hill Palace police station after the search was completed. "I will tell you everything, wait," Vedan told the media.

A detailed search of Vedan's flat after the ganja was seized revealed the tiger's tooth and weapons. Vedan's statement was that the tiger's tooth on the necklace was brought from Thailand. Police have seized Rs 9.5 lakh and nine mobile phones during the search of the flat.

Vedan told the police that the money was received for booking the event and was to be given to the band members. The Tripunithura Hill Palace police had stated that rapper Vedan had admitted to using drugs. The police told the media that the ganja was seized from the table in the flat and was not seized from anyone's hands.
