THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The death of a four-year-old child of a migrant worker in Thiruvananthapuram is suspected to be a murder. Gildar, the son of Munni Begum, a native of West Bengal, was taken to a private hospital in Kazhakoottam at around 6 pm on Sunday. The mother told the hospital authorities that the child had fallen asleep after eating lunch and did not wake up. However, the doctor who examined the child found wounds on the child's neck. The hospital authorities then informed the Kazhakoottam police.

Doctors say there is a mark of a noose around the neck. The initial conclusion is that the child may have been strangled to death. The child's mother and malefriend have been taken into custody by the Kazhakoottam police. The police said that the child's body will be shifted to the Medical College Hospital.
