KOZHIKODE: The daily income from Malaparamba sex racket center was Rs one lakh. The money that reached the hands of Bindu, the cashier and manager of the center, went directly to the accounts of the police officers running it. These things became clear during the investigation conducted after knowing that the center belonged to the police officers, accused in the case. The accused police officers are Shaijith of Perumanna and senior CPO, and CPO Sanith of Kunnamangalam, Padanilam, drivers of the police district headquarters. A lookout notice has been issued for the absconding two. Their mobile phones are also switched off.
They started the center a long time ago. The investigation revealed that lakhs have already reached the accounts of the two cops. Only a small amount was given to the women from the income received. The remaining amount was shared by Shaijith and Sanith. It is reported that the two invested money, bought land using the amount they received. However, there is no confirmation in this regard. The police are also investigating this.
More details about the center came to light when people arrested in the case were questioned together. The women revealed the methods of running the center, some other important information, and their contacts with the police. The two policemen visit the center every day. One of the policemen got close to Bindu during the investigation of another case. This relationship was the impetus for starting the sex center. Initially, the center was within the limits of the medical college station. However, when a new inspector took charge in the station, the center was moved from its original location.
Meantime, criticisms galore for not arresting the tainted policemen. It is alleged that the arrest is being delayed for them to escape.
