THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KSRTC decided to make most of the strike announced by private buses on Tuesday. The KSRTC Executive Director issued a circular in this regard. Services should be provided to hospitals, airports and railway stations as required. The circular also instructs staff members to seek police assistance in case of any untoward incidents.
The private bus owners decided to go on strike after not getting the desired result from the talks held with the Transport Commissioner. The tentative strike tomorrow is demanding an increase in the student concession rate. The Transport Commissioner requested a week, but the owners were not willing to accept the demand. An indefinite strike has also been announced from the 22nd of this month.
