Double murder in Alappuzha: Parents stabbed to death by son

ALAPPUZHA: In a shocking incident, an elderly couple were stabbed to death by their son in Kommady. The deceased have been identified as Kommady native Thangaraj and his wife Agnes. Police have taken their son Babu (47) into custody. The incident took place on Thursday night.

According to the police, Babu committed the crime under the influence of alcohol. He is a butcher. It is said that a family dispute between Babu and Thangaraj ended up in the murders. Locals, who arrived at the spot after hearing loud cries, rushed Agnes to the hospital. However, her life could not be saved. Thangaraj, who was found lying in a pool of blood, was taken to the hospital only after the police arrived at the spot. Police said that they are questioning the accused in detail.
