"I have your wife's nudes and videos": Husband gets phone call from abroad; what happened?

KOCHI: The accused has been arrested in the case of threatening a woman and her husband by claiming to have nude pictures of the woman. The accused was arrested from Nedumbassery airport. The Ezhukon police had issued a lookout notice in the case. Rijo, a native of Kottarakkara Nellikunnam, was arrested by the police at the airport.

Rijo had earlier met the woman to marry her. Even after the woman got married to someone else, Rijo followed her and harassed her. He had also threatened her several times by visiting her house. Rijo, who had went abroad for work, called the woman's husband from there and threatened to release his wife's nude pictures. Rijo's threat was that he was in a relationship with the woman and had her nude pictures and videos.

After the threats continued, the husband and wife filed a complaint in November. The police registered a case and issued a lookout notice for the accused. The accused Rijo, who had returned to India from the Gulf for a vacation, was arrested as soon as he got off the Nedumbassery airport and handed over to the Ezhukon police. The accused was produced in court and remanded.
