Instagram influencer sexually abused in resort and other places, underwent abortion while dating

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Binoy, arrested in the suicide case of an 18-year-old Instagram influencer, was sent to police custody for three days. The action was taken by Thiruvananthapuram POCSO Court.

Police said the girl and Binoy, who met through Instagram, were in a relationship for two years. The police told the court that she was sexually abused in a resort and at home. Meanwhile, the accused also bought pills for her abortion.

The police told the court that they want three days to conduct further investigation, to find the vehicles taking the girl to many places and collect evidence from other places. Meantime, the defence lawyer argued that Binoy was framed in the case to save someone else.

They broke up five months ago. After this, abuses were hurled at her on social media. It is heard that Binoy's friend is behind this. Binoy has been charged with POCSO for abusing a girl below 18. Section 312 has also been imposed for illegal abortion.

The girl, who was depressed after breaking up with Binoy, attempted suicide on June 10. She died on June 16th while undergoing treatment in Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. Binoy, who was arrested the other day under POCSO, was remanded by the CJM court for 14 days. The police also informed that crucial information was received from his phone.
